In short: we collect what we need to run CoreLane for you, we keep your business records private to your business, we never sell information, and this website does not track you.
1. Who we are
CoreLane provides online business software for shops, wholesalers and distributors ("CoreLane", "we", "us"). This policy covers this website, corelaneaccounts.com, and the CoreLane app at erp.corelaneaccounts.com. Questions about privacy go to support@corelaneaccounts.com.
2. Visiting this website
This website uses no cookies, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so visiting does not contact other companies.
Like most websites, our server keeps a short technical log of requests (internet address, page asked for, time and browser type) to keep the service secure and working. These logs are deleted after 14 days.
If you email us, for example to ask for a demo invite, we receive what you write and your email address, and use it only to reply and to set up your demo.
3. Your CoreLane account
When you or your shop create an account we keep:
- your name, email address and, for a demo, your shop name and mobile number;
- your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled form (a hash) that nobody, including us, can turn back into the password;
- sign-in codes we email you, also stored only as a hash, which stop working after 10 minutes;
- a count of wrong password tries, so we can lock an account for a short time after repeated failures;
- your language and light/dark choices, and which shops you work in and with what access.
The app uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to protect your forms from misuse. They are needed for the app to work and are not used for tracking.
4. Business information you enter
Your shop's records belong to your business: items, stock, customers and suppliers (for example their names, phone numbers and addresses), sales, bills, payments, expenses, bank statement lines, documents and staff. We store and process them only to run CoreLane for you, as you instruct through the app.
You are responsible for having the right to record your customers' and suppliers' details and for telling them how you use them where the law requires it.
When you share a bill or statement on WhatsApp, CoreLane creates a private link to that one PDF. It works for 30 days or until you cancel it, and we record when it was opened so you can see it was seen.
If you use CoreLane offline, the app keeps a copy of items, prices, stock and customers on that device so the counter keeps working. It is removed when you sign out or switch shops.
5. How we use information
- to provide CoreLane, keep each business's data separate and keep the service secure;
- to send service emails: sign-in and reset codes, demo reminders, staff invites, and documents you choose to email;
- to give support when you ask, and to manage your plan and payments;
- to fix problems and improve CoreLane.
6. What we never do
- We do not sell your information or your customers' information.
- We do not show advertising or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your business records for anything other than running CoreLane for you.
7. Companies that help us run CoreLane
We use a small number of service providers, who may handle information only to provide their service to us:
- DigitalOcean: our servers and database, in its Bangalore, India data centre.
- Brevo: delivering emails such as sign-in codes, reminders and invites.
- Namecheap: our domain name and forwarding of emails sent to our address, which we read in Google's Gmail.
- Let's Encrypt: the security certificate for our websites (no personal information is shared).
Ask CoreLane, the business assistant, answers most questions inside CoreLane. If an outside AI service is switched on for your shop, only your question and the totals needed to answer it are sent; customer names, phone numbers, CNIC numbers and email addresses are not.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and security of our users and the service.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your account and business records while your account exists. When a demo or plan ends, your shop becomes read-only and your records are kept, so nothing is lost if you come back.
You can ask us to delete your shop and account. We will do so within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as our own billing records. Backup copies are replaced automatically and are kept for up to 7 days. Website and server logs are deleted after 14 days.
9. How we protect information
- All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Each business's records are walled off from every other business at the database level.
- Passwords and sign-in codes are stored only as hashes; repeated wrong tries are limited.
- Staff only see what their shop admin allows, and changes are recorded.
- Data is backed up automatically.
10. Your choices
You can:
- see and correct your details, and change your password, in the app;
- download your reports as CSV files and your documents as PDFs;
- ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account.
Email support@corelaneaccounts.com from the address on your account. We may need to check it is really you before acting.
11. Children
CoreLane is a business service for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about children as users.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell account owners by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our terms of service.
